This year NHCIBOR and NHCIBOR Cares will be supporting Tower of Toys (ToT) by donating $ 10.00 for every ticket purchase. In addition, please feel free to bring an unwrapped gift to the event which will be donated to ToT.
This is the 8th year of the ToT and it was started by a collection of local businesses in the southern NH area that were looking for a way to give back around the holidays. We collect unwrapped toys, and gifts for kids of all ages and distribute the week or so before Christmas. We do not have an official Non Profit status, but we can accept donations either through CIBOR Cares or if people like, they can write a check to Intown Manchester on behalf of ToT. We take the money and go out and spend it on toys, gift cards, etc. The large fundraiser is the same night as our holiday party, so Doug Martin, Pres. CIBOR will be going out the following morning first thing to buy everything with the donations and drop all of the donated toys off to the building for immediate distribution. We have no application process. If a family needs a few things to brighten their kids Christmas, they can come by and pick some items up. We have volunteers there to help in making sure they get the right thing for the right ages etc.
Ideas for gifts include all of the traditional toys, but also sporting goods/fishing equipment, art supplies, small electronics (ear buds, etc.) and gift cards (usually popular with the teens who may want use the GC to buy a little something or go to a restaurant like subway, or other fast casual spots)
