The goal of the Education Committee is to provide NH CIBOR members with educational opportunities that specifically address commercial brokerage. The Education Committee is constantly looking for ideas and suggestions for seminars that offer continuing education credits that qualify for license renewal. NHCIBOR provides the following opportunities as a member benefit:
Professional Development Series:
The PDS is a great free tool that is provided to our members and affiliates on the first Tuesday of every month. Each of these events promote continuing education for our entire membership. Those attending have an opportunity hear from some of the top industry professionals on topics ranging from law, to construction and technology. Being member driven, we look to our members to advise us as to what topics they would like to see offered each month. We look to our affiliates to share their expertise and speak on issues of interest, and for input from our affiliates as to what topics they can speak on. The PDS classes are held the first Tuesday of each month. They alternate between the Greater Manchester/Nashua Board of Realtors at 166 South River Road, Bedford, NH and Pease Development Authority's Conference Room at 360 Corporate Drive in Portsmouth, NH. All classes are from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
NHCIBOR Quarterly Meetings:
The first three (3) Quarterly Meetings of each year include an educational component. These meetings are approved for 2-3 hours of continuing education elective credits.
Commercially Oriented Core Course (C.O.R.E.):
NHCIBOR sponsors the mandatory C.O.R.E. course four (4) times a year at NHAR in Concord. The C.O.R.E. course is the mandatory renewal course for all New Hampshire real estate licensees. This course is taught by a practicing commercial real estate broker and focuses on how the laws and rules apply to commercial brokerage.
Featured Speakers & Other Courses:
The Education Committee organizes various seminars throughout the year. In the past, we have brought in a panel of experts from various fields relating to commercial real estate and have had seminars with regional and national speakers.
Other Course Offerings:
The Education Committee continually searches for educational opportunities available through outside business organizations, government agencies and law firms etc. These non-sponsored events provide numerous opportunities to educate and monitor various issues and changes relating to the real estate industry. While they are not sponsored by NHCIBOR, these seminars address commercial brokerage and many offer continuing education elective credits.
