Minutes of Seacoast Marketing Session
Optima Bank was the breakfast sponsor. Jerry Bazata,, SVP and senior commercial loan officer, presented that the bank was established in 2008 and now has 400 million in assets. Optima is the fastest growing bank in New England. Their newest addition to the lending team is Doreen Austin who will be joining from Northeast Credit Union.

NHCIBOR Public Policy Committee activities and concerns were recapped:
HB 1103 addresses how variances are approved and may it make more difficult in the future for applicants to get a variance. There is a chance that the Senate committee will kill the bill.
HB??? Out of State brokers can work with an in state broker on listings – this change is supported by CIBOR.
Question of different licensing for commercial and residential realtors in early stages.
1031 exchanges – currently under discussion in Washington on whether or not it makes sense to keep this regulation in place. CIBOR supports keeping 1031 exchanges intact.
