If you are building a new business facility, renovating an existing facility, or replacing failed equipment, PSNH's New Equipment and Construction Program can help you reduce operating costs by installing energy-efficient equipment. This program offers prescriptive and custom rebates designed to help businesses purchase more energy-efficient equipment, including lighting, motors, HVAC systems, chillers, variable frequency drives, and air compressors.
One New Hampshire company that has benefited from the program is DCI Furniture of Lisbon, a family- owned manufacturer of furniture for colleges, universities, and government agencies. DCI qualified for a rebate from PSNH for about $27,000 after replacing more than 200 lights in its production area with energy- efficient lights and light-mounted sensors. The new lighting will save DCI more than $29,000 annually and more than $380,000 over the lifetime of the lighting.
“Our company has long been committed to implementing environmentally friendly practices as part of our manufacturing process,” says Henry Kober, president of DCI Furniture. “This investment not only helps to fulfill our goal of being more sustainable and environmentally friendly, but also will deliver significant cost savings that will help our business be successful.”
The New Equipment and Construction Program also offers businesses custom rebates for all non-prescriptive equipment and other qualifying measures where kilowatt-hour savings can be realized. In addition to rebates, the program offers technical assistance to help customers identify and purchase premium energy- efficient equipment and measures.
For an application and more information, contact a PSNH Account Executive at 800-662-7764. PSNH will review your proposal and estimate your rebate amount, or make you a rebate offer for installing certain energy-efficient equipment. (The actual rebate amount will be based on the final product installed.)
