Robert Cruess is this year’s CIBOR Affiliate of the Year. Robert Cruess became President of TFM in 1987 and majority owner in 1991. Under his ownership, TFM has expanded to include two offices and 67 employees from its basis of civil engineering and land surveying.
Under his leadership TFM has won several awards, most recently a Plan NH merit award for the French-Atwood Marketplace in Bedford, NH. Mr. Cruess has volunteered his time and expertise to community leadership and serves on numerous boards and committees, including NH Job Corps Task Force, NH Board of Professional Engineers and NH Commercial Investment Board of REALTORS.
Robert and his wife Anne have been active participants in CIBOR activities sponsoring events; and for many years have supported the annual barbeque at their Bedford headquarters. He is also a strong supporter of the arts, in particular the Granite State Opera and Currier Museum of Art believing in the added value of the arts to the region and its economy. This past year the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce honored Robert for his firm’s quality work, his personal
involvement in numerous civic, philanthropic and cultural activities, and his participation in Manchester’s small business community for over twenty years.
For years Robert has mentored CIBOR members and assisted them in analyzing the uses and problems of potential properties. His participation in CIBOR has benefited us all and this award is but a small step in sending our thanks to Robert and Anne Cruess.
